team building in ho chi minh city

What if your team could hit reset, not by escaping to a faraway resort, but by stepping right into the heart of Ho Chi Minh City for a team building experience unlike any other? That is exactly what happened when Siemon Vietnam joined Jackfruit Adventure’s Impact Race. Here’s what really happened behind the scenes.

The challenge

Siemon Vietnam reached out to Jackfruit Adventure with a clear challenge. Their team had expanded quickly, bringing together new colleagues and shifting roles, which led to a weaker sense of connection across the group. Months of hybrid work and constant deadlines left little space for meaningful interaction or building trust. While the team had tried traditional team building events in the past, those experiences often felt forced and made little lasting difference. Siemon Vietnam was looking for something deeper: a chance for their team to slow down, rediscover a sense of purpose, and reconnect with each other in a memorable and authentic setting within Ho Chi Minh City.

How we helped

Jackfruit Adventure recommended the Impact Race, our signature team building program designed to combine real discovery with purposeful teamwork. The experience began in a hidden French-era apartment, where the Siemon team took part in a local-style coffee tasting. This relaxed opening allowed everyone to settle in and connect as people, not just colleagues.

The group then launched into the heart of the Impact Race. Unlike typical team games, this program guided them through authentic neighborhoods and cultural sites across Saigon, where every clue and challenge was rooted in local context. Teams were asked to observe their surroundings, solve real-life puzzles, and support each other in small but meaningful ways. The experience encouraged everyone to communicate openly, adapt their roles, and listen to different perspectives as they moved through the city. With each activity, team members found new ways to contribute and discovered unexpected strengths within the group.

The results

Feedback from the Siemon Vietnam team was overwhelmingly positive. Participants shared that the Impact Race helped them see their colleagues in a new light and made collaboration feel natural and enjoyable. People who were usually quiet found opportunities to lead, while others learned to support and encourage their teammates.

After the event, Siemon Vietnam reported improvements in team communication and a more proactive, positive attitude in the workplace. Leaders observed that colleagues were more willing to offer help, share ideas, and engage in problem-solving together. The Impact Race gave the team a fresh sense of unity and purpose, helping them carry new energy and stronger relationships back into their everyday work.
