Originally a mobile coffee cart, the café became a permanent fixture due to its popularity.

Open daily from 2 am to 5 pm, Ms. Hoang and her brother, Mr. Hung, rise at 1 am to prepare the coffee, which is stored the previous afternoon. The café, located in an old-style Chinese house, features rustic furniture and a cozy atmosphere. Its distinctive racket-brewed coffee attracts primarily Vietnamese of Chinese origin, who converse in a blend of Cantonese and Vietnamese. 

Ba Lu roasts its coffee four times a month, with each session involving two batches of 10 kg. The roasting process, requiring continuous manual rotation over a fire for nearly an hour, imparts a traditional Chinese flavor to the coffee.

16. 714 Alleyway Nguyen Trai
