Its distinctive racket-brewed coffee attracts primarily Vietnamese of Chinese origin, who converse in a blend of Cantonese and Vietnamese. 

Ba Lu roasts its coffee four times a month, with each session involving two batches of 10 kg. The roasting process, requiring continuous manual rotation over a fire for nearly an hour, imparts a traditional Chinese flavor to the coffee.
